everyone has a little stardust in them. I am comforted by it, because that means it holds true that everything has beauty in it, even terrible things. I like to think that it’s the stardust that accounts for those little sparks of magic that emanate out of us when no one expects them. It’s like when you’re staring at someone without realizing it, because at that second in time that’s where your eyes fall, and that person just happens to be looking at you too. In that moment you make eye contact, and you think it’s going to be awkward or weird but instead you and that person share something together, and it’s a moment you know you’ll never find again in another person. That’s noble. Being humble is when you don’t demand that kind of magic, it’s when there’s something so powerful within yourself that you cultivate that nobleness in other people. Being humble is helping others to find their light, that quiet stardust sprinkled on their bones.
